A 5 card game compendium with 4 decks of custom cards comes with rules for several games:
1) Chai Tea Jazz: Modern version of Coiffeur-Jass with all the fixings.
Chai Tea Jazz is a trick-taking game where players will be fulfilling the same contracts as the other players and seeing which player did the best job at it. In this modern take on Coiffeur Jass, players bet on which mode of play and the strength of their cards, then see how they fare in the card play. It’s all about knowing when to sit back and when to make your move.
2) Hodge Podge Dodgeball: Team Avoidance game as you play a must-not-follow trick-taking
Players try to dodge getting hit (taking a trick) in this avoidance, team, must-not-follow trick-taker. At the start of the round, players create their bench with their cards. Then they play tricks which entail any amount of catching, dodging, or blocking balls. Players must be careful, as their hand of cards is their life and if they are hit, they must send a card (a raccoon) to their bench. If a player is out of cards or cannot make a valid play, their team loses!
3) Bug House Millionaire: Climbing/shedding game about passing your partner cards in real-time
A climbing/shedding game where you’ll be working with a partner to corner the bug housing market! Players will play 2 simultaneous, 2 player climbing/shedding games where the cards they capture will go to the hand of their parter. They’ll also have to hurry as the players are on the clock and the player who sheds out first wins, or has their opponent’s clock run out.
4) Short Zoot Suit: Trick-taking game about short-suiting
Players try to balance the number of tricks they win with the number of times they played off-suit, or short-suit. At the start of the hand, players create a personal draw deck out of some of the cards they are dealt. Drawing from this deck can help players manipulate their hands for later play and short-suiting. The game ends when any player is out of cards, allowing for player-defined hand lengths.
5) Through the Zoo: Zü, the city’s hottest new zoo, needs animals for its new exhibits, and you’re the agent for the job!
Players are representatives for animals seeking gigs at different exhibits around the zoo. Show off your animal talent and win the residency at Zü! Through the Zoo is a meta game system that combines a variety of standard deck games. Hearts, Spades, Bridge, you name it! Players play hands of standard deck games and see who performs best in this card game system.
